It’s summer and there’s so many amazing events going on in LA! Here’s a list of some upcoming events to keep you from catching a case FOMO over the next few weeks. Don’t worry, links to more event info will be included as well.
1. Jazz Festival – Los Angeles, CA
The 24th annual Central Avenue Jazz Fest is back July 27 and 28! There aren’t man y places to listen to jazz nowadays. Even if you don’t consider yourself a big jazz fan, I promise you don’t miss out on one of the fewest authentic jazz experiences in Southern California.
2. Midsummer Scream – Long Beach, CA
For all those who can’t wait for spooky season, come get an early dose of adrenaline at the Long Beach Convention Center Aug. 3 & 4! This convention features a few attractions and scary walkthroughs! You might even get an early look to what’s coming this Halloween. *insert dramatic spooky music here*
3. Tchaikovsky Spectacular with Fireworks – Hollywood, CA
Missing those beautiful 4th of July fireworks? Head over to the Hollywood Bowl to hear some of the best of Tchaikovsky played by the LA Philharmonic. This could be a perfect date night idea for you and that special someone. Classical music, fireworks, maybe a glass of wine? Sounds perfect to me.
4. The Drums and Chai – Los Angeles, CA
Rock out with this New York band at the intimate Hollywood Palladium July 27. We’re all about the West Coast, but I can’t get enough of these East Coasters. 
5. HARD Summer – Fontana, CA
This is arguably one of the most iconic festivals in SoCal. Make sure you buy your tickets soon because they’re sure to sell out! Some may even call it the LA version of Coachella. Of course, it’s not the same because LA goes harder.
6. Beautycon LA – Los Angeles, CA
This event will definitely sell out. If you’re able to snag a ticket, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with some of the makeup industry’s biggest and most talked about influencers and brands.
7. Sad Summer Festival – Anaheim, CA
This little twist on summer festivals encourages you to let out your inner emo kid with The Maine, Mayday Parade, and more! Tickets are on sale now so you better hurry.
8. Taste of Brews – Long Beach, CA
You might be able to guess what this one’s about. Come out to try some of the best beers Long Beach has to offer on Aug. 24. Make sure to bring an ID though. It’s 21+
9. Dragonfest – Burbank, CA
Don’t let the name fool you. This is actually one of the biggest martial arts events ever. You can even sign up to take a workout class with some of the best martial artists!
10. Pasadena Daydream – Pasadena, CA
The Cure is throwing you back to the 80’s and 90’s with some other amazing artists at the Rose Bowl. They might be up there in age, but they’re still rocking out like you wouldn’t believe.
